Trademark opposition and rectification proceedings often involve prolonged timelines due to procedural delays and hearing backlogs. These delays can significantly affect businesses, brand owners, and stakeholders who require timely resolution to protect their intellectual property rights.
According to recent RTI responses dated 17 March 2025, there are over 3,00,000 pending trademark opposition and rectification matters, many of which have remained unresolved for 10 to 15 years. This prolonged pendency has created significant challenges for stakeholders and businesses, particularly those operating through e-commerce platforms or seeking international trademark protection through the Madrid Protocol.
Through our Trademark Mediation Portal, parties involved in trademark disputes can voluntarily opt for structured mediation, enabling them to resolve conflicts efficiently while avoiding prolonged litigation. Our platform provides a neutral and confidential environment where parties can work towards a mutually acceptable solution with the assistance of experienced mediators.
